Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

so i read the instructions how to clean the carb, blew it out with air, soaked in carb cleaner. reassembled.. when i went to run my spree gas was pouring out my air screw adjustment hole! (never had a air screw there b4..) any help!? 8O

this is the same problem i am having.. but i noticed when i take off the fuel line it leaks out gas until it runs out of gas in the tank. could this be my problem?

last night was riding home from school, when all asudden my moped did the whole feed me gas and die type deal.. long story short, it runs, but it will only go 5-10 feet b4 it cuts out. any help? =/ cleaned air filter, and plug did nothing tho.

awesome it says in the instructions to spray it on the filter, should i do that? or just spray it into the sparkplug area after removing the plug and stick plug back in and fire it?

someone told me that i can try to fire my ped up with some starter fluid. i went and bought liquid fire, quick starting fluid, says its for lawnmowers, diesels, and hard starting cars without glow sticks. is this the stuff??

well what i noticed is if i bypass it, the starter motor will run for about 4 seconds and start fast and slowly die, to the point of a crawl, and i cant really jump it and take it for a ride to recharge the battery quite yet. still working on getting it going =/ new sparkplug, clean carb, clean ...

got power, got lights, got signal lights, no starter motor going... my starter relay just sits and clicks everytime i brake+start button any suggestions? thx

before my moped died i had to clean the filter every week because it would get so freaking dirty air couldnt pass through it and it always reaked of gas and oil any ideas?

eh nvm i got it working yesterday thx for the help, the gear to the starter ring just needed some dw-40 it looked burnt to s***. now its all working

is there a restrictor just after the carb like ive read on some other models? or is the only restrictor on this thing the ring in the exhaust pipe? because if thats the case ill just leave my exhaust pipe as is. how do i tell if a muffler is to big/small?

how can i test if its turning the gear if the case isnt on because as far as i know it isnt turning it. how can i fix the not turning the drive gear issue?

does anyone here know about honda spree derestrictions? i have a 1987 honda spree and am looking at removing all the restrictions. i am also putting on a sports exhaust from a 80cc dirtbike good idea? bad idea?

anyways i was wondering if the restriction ring is contained within the muffler or ...

my starter motor just hums i took it apart and it turns alright but it doesnt turn the pully or w/e its supposed to do any ideas on how to fix?

anyone know how to, or know a instruction manual on how to remove the restrictor on the exhaust port? i have a 87 honda spree.
