Trade up: Elite 150cc
Hello all!
Well, I've had a tremendously enjoyable time rebuilding my spree, but my work commute has gotten farther and my spree is no-longer a safe form of transportation. So, I looked around on craigslist and found an 86 Honda Elite 150cc. It's great; I can keep up with traffic, speed up if ...

Re: ****Official Picture Post****
Work in progress: 2.75 tires (I no longer bottom out on speed-bumps!), rebuilt intake/carb (was disconnected entirely from the airbox), repainted fairings. The previous owner dumped it a few times, which led to replacing the stock signals with the chrome-bullet style (consequently the wiring is all ...

Re: Re-jet or replace stock intake?
It was the wrong spark-plug.
The spark-plug installed was nearly a cm too short, and chocolate brown. The newly installed plug has my spree running with confidence.
Thanks again,
Melchior

Re: Re-jet or replace stock intake?
No sweat folks! I'm grateful for all your guys help thus far :D, I simply don't have the space or tools to preform such a procedure.
I'll check the plug when I change it. It seems to be restricted, but obviously has the same capability as it did previously. So, I was curious as to what might be the ...

Re: Re-jet or replace stock intake?
The filter is brand-new.
Yes, please start your own topic; it's annoying to get emails about a reply that doesn't concern you...

Re: Re-jet or replace stock intake?
Way to hijack the thread there, nucklebusters :D
Anyhoo, I replaced the original intake tube/filter and now have absolutely no power.
It still idles fine but now has little torque and a much lower top speed.
As i mentioned before i was getting 25-30mph (depending on wind/humidity) without any ...

Re: 2.75-10 tires ordered for spree
Awesome! I'm glad I made the right choice.
As for the wheels: I'm pretty deft at painting on-the-cheap so I think I'll be alright.
Thanks,
Melchior

2.75-10 tires ordered for spree
And a how-do,
Fellas, my tires are dry-rotted all to *. I've decided to order the Chen Shin C917 2.75-10 whilst ordering some other much need parts.
Are these going to fit my stock rims? I looked all over today and yesterday but couldn't confirm it 100%.
The rims are rusty aswell - spots, no ...

Re: Re-jet or replace stock intake?
I live in Orlando, FL which is a "no-fault" state, which basically translates to "F*ck you".
Everyone races from stoplight-to-stoplight at 60mph and I stay in the far left lane just waiting to get zoomed by street bikes and passed in my own lane. On one recent occasion, someone passed in my lane ...

Re: Re-jet or replace stock intake?
Hey, thanks!
Looks like im staying stock for now. I plan on calling my local parts people today and ordering the tube and filter as everything else seems to be in place. After that, I suppose I'll clean out my exhaust just to see what happens. A new "extended high-speed" plug is in need aswell ...

Re-jet or replace stock intake?
Hello all,
I've been trolling this site for awhile now trying to learn as much as possible about my 84 spree. That being said, I've discovered the source of my spree's problems:
My carb is not connected to my airbox; i lack the bendy pipe that bridges the gap. So, I'm running lean.
Solutions ...
