I have an 86 spree and 82 express. The spree runs great with no problems and is in near mint condition although the express couldnt be further from the same. well, what i realized the main problem was was that the air fuel mixture is much more precise and signifigant than i had assumed. The problem ended up being that the air filter cover wasnt sealed well enough that was causing the bog downs and stall, after sealing that up (with duct tape) it ran on ...

Honda express

I have a 1982 honda express tht will start up and run poorly for about 25 to 30 seconds and then it dies out but will start right up again. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

alright, i understand that but is the zero speed gain a sign that if i drill a hole it the exhaust it will have no effect?

i wish i could avoid them because they have caused many other probelms aswell such as breaking the back shock and bending the rims but i ride it offroad alot where big bumps rocks etc are unavoidable at high speed.

Ya sory, i dont have a manual and i didnt know there were ones on the site. I found that right after i posted and i put it at 1 3/4 and it runs well again.

I was reading on all hte different muffler modifications that help by causing less restricion on the exhaust. I figured to test if this helped i would take off the muffler compleatly and run it. After doing this it went no faster, posssibly even slower and at full speed backfired and sputtered. It ...
