Re: would it be legal to build a spree-rex???

The ÔÇ£StingerÔÇØ was built by unknown persons for an unknown reason. I bought it and got it running again in late summer 2008.

The vehicle was set up to go in a straight line. The steering geometry was set up so the trike was stable at high speed. The top speed was 30 MPH.

ItÔÇÖs possible the ...

Re: would it be legal to build a spree-rex???

Cool! the three wheel Honda express pictured in the above post was mine! Sold it on ebay last fall. Its strange to see my driveway in a random post on the internet.

Anyway the "Stinger" was not street legal. I never attempted to ride it on public roads.

I recently seen it was for sale again. I ...

Clutch is acting funny on '85 spree

Ok, The spree has been totally rebuilt at this point├óÔé¼┬ª and now the clutch is acting funny.

First of all I replaced the battery, piston rings, de-carbon engine and muffler. Then I cut muffler open and removed two lose baffle plates. MIG welded muffler shut. I finally I replaced the drivebelt ...

Well it would appear that my Spree fits the profile of a high mileage engine failure. The good news is the parts only cost $35.00.

Yeah, I had to stand in line at the cycle shop.. All these tough guys ordering up parts for real motorcycles├óÔé¼┬ª and then there├óÔé¼Ôäós me├óÔé¼┬ª ├óÔé¼┼ôplease may ...

The bike had just over 4000 miles. Judging by the lack of tool marks on the fasteners, it would appear the engine was never rebuilt.

Broken piston ring.

Thanks all for the help in the previous post. Here is something interesting..

Anyway the $40.00 Spree ran well. So I put in a new battery and rode the bike around the yard and in the street. The max speed was about 25 mph however it had trouble going up a slight incline. The speed would drop to ...

Seriously, thanks dudes for the quick advice! I'm sure I'll have a few more questions.

I did check the tech page and found a bunch of usefull info. I'm more of a four stroke honda guy.. I just ...

Does Michigan require a title?

Hi ├óÔé¼╦£ya folks,

I├óÔé¼Ôäóm brand new to the forum and I have a question already. Anyway I bought a running ├óÔé¼Ôäó85 Spree at a garage sale last week. I gave $40.00 for the bike ├óÔé¼┬ª I put jumper cables to the battery and the bike started right up! The bike has some minor issues however I ...
