Re: Big Bore Woes-Seizure before it even started

whether the rings are broken-in or not the fact that its harder to crank over due to the higher compresion than from before with the stock piston isn't really a theory. I could turn the old piston with hardly any effort. new piston is definitly harder to turn over do to the new higher compresion ...

Re: Big Bore Woes-Seizure before it even started

I just installed my new big bore 2 nights ago and thought I had the same problem. Your piston isn't siezed. what's happened is now the compression is very high. so high its hard to crank by hand. do to this reason you need alot more cold cranking amps from your battery to crank it over cold. and ...

Re: spree mystery after big bore install....any ideas?

I think you are right wheelman about it running to lean. I was test riding without the air filter. I had to modify a K&N for the new filter and was waiting for the silicone to dry. I will be putting the new filter on today as it is problaly dry by now. I will keep you posted.

Re: big bore kit installed now engine is hard to turnover

you were right it was simply a weak battery. was confusing though cuz the battery read 12.6 volts however I simply didn't have enough cranking amps. let the battery charge all night and it cranked right up. sometimes its the easy things that get ya. boy the new found compression really requires a ...

I ordered taz's big bore kit and installed it tonight. When i have the head on the cylinder with no sparg plug or compression tester i can easily spin the crank with my hand or the starter. when i put either a plug or compression gauge in the head then it becomes alot more difficult to turn the ...
