speedometer doesnt read MPH.

My speedometer does not show how fast the scoot is going. Everything on the cluster works fine, oil gauge, fuel gauge, high beam light, etc. Everything but the needle. The obvious thing to do would be to replace the speedo cable, however could the cable be fine and somethings wrong with the little ...

toothpaste for cleaning carb.

I've read a couple posts with people saying that they use toothpaste to clean a certain area on their carb. I'm about to take my carb apart and do a thorough cleaning. What brand of toothpaste should i use and also what specific area should i use the toothpaste on? Should i use a toothbrush?

the throttle is all play, no resistance at all. I tried adjusting the cable to get rid of all the extra play and i couldnt get it to twist. New throttle cable in order?

Re: spree hasnt run "correctly" for around 10 years.

I have just downloaded the service manual and ill give it a try. When i cleaned the carb i didn't really spend a whole lot of time on it, i'll replace all the above mentioned materials and give the carb a thorough cleaning and see if it does the trick. I could be back if this doesnt fix it, but ...

A few years ago i tried to get it started, but it wouldn't stay running unless i punched the gas, it wouldn't idle. also, even though ...
