i think using brick/concrete pavers over crushed limestone screenings is a good way to go if you cant do concrete. a wood floor, even if its treated, is awfull tempting for varments, insects on what ever needs a place to camp out. they are available at "Lowes" also.

do a compression test. if you dont know what that is , try to find a friend that tinkers with cars or bikes . take off the side plastics, unscrew the spark plug(righty tighty, lefty loosy)and insert/thread in a compression tester. it looks like a hose with threads on one end, and a gauge on the ...

the small gear is not engaged with the spindle, in that counterbore to the right of the spindle in the outer case.
the picture of your carb. is very dirty. i hope that was taken before you cleaned it.

have you tried to go to the tech. articals i've mentioned on this site? look up "how to install a kickstart on a '85 spree". it will show you som great pictires of what the gears should look like when you go to apply the cover to the scoot. its hard to tell but the picture you posted seems like your ...

I think"Mookie" was right when he said, they may have run it with no oil." as "tiger would say, hay man,what does that red light mean"? if it doesn't loosen up with some lube its time to "crack er open". :sad:
