Re: Bay Area folks who know of best routes?

I have a 1988 Elite LX 50cc. It has about 800 miles on it. I was doing about 25 to 35 the entire way down.

Re: Bay Area folks who know of best routes?

Well, just to update. My first Saturday trek to work consisted of me taking Mission Street to El Camino and driving El Camino all the way down to Redwood City. It wasn't too bad except for the temperature around me. It was a bit cold after riding for about 30 minutes. I definitely need better winter ...

Haa, awesome! Thanks again.

Re: newbie question about Oil

Thanks for all the helpful answers!! I'm making a list of this stuff. I'll get a bottle of oil to keep with me at all times.
So, yes I am a GIRL and I'm trying to learn how to do this on my own without the need to take it to the repair shop. I'm not an idiot and tend to like to dive into mechanical ...

newbie question about Oil

I just bought a used scooter a few days ago (88 Honda Elite LX 50cc) and in my first thread here I learned that the distinctive smell I'm... smelling is due to the fact that I have a 2-stroke engine.
I've never owned a scooter in my life so I'm trying to get some good info.

The guy I bought it from ...

newbie questions

Hi all!
I just recently scored a really fantastic 1988 Honda Elite LX. I found it on Craigslist for $400 and it only has 775 miles on it. I did have to replace the tires, because they were the original ones and its missing the left hand side mirror, which i just bought a pair of new ones on Ebay ...
