Re: Firts Scoot build!

That's odd. I thought all the GY6's had the mount on the top of the motor.

I have a line on a ratty 150 GY6 donor that has been radared at 70 wit 13" tires. I think I'll put a 10" on it to slow it up and have crazy acceleration. Well if I can ever get my hands on it.
only the 125 and up gy6 ...

Re: Spree gearing

It's an 86. I would like to get it done in the clutch or gears. This thing is so reliable I don't want to disturb that.

Re: Spree gearing

It's the fuel shutoff. It came off of a Polaris snowmobile of some sort. My stock petcock didn't shutoff completely so I hit it with a drill to fully open it up and put this on. I think it cost $5 shipped on ebay. This thing is a trailer queen so I didn't want it flooded when I got to the track ...

Spree gearing

I have a spree that is a dedicated pit cruiser. The track speed limit is 10mph. I am wondering if there is any options to gear this down? I don't care if the top end goes down to 20 I just want it to pull harder on the bottom end.

It's a good running unit that behaves like the rest, nothing down ...

Re: new guy & 86 Spree

I have been watching some old Helix's (or would it be Heli) going at some of the local auctions and seriously considered a transplant.

What is this Dio I am hearing about? Is it something available in the states? I was only aware of the aero, spree, elite, etc.

new guy & 86 Spree

I was poking around a little & found this site last night. Here are a couple shots of an 86 spree I picked up earlier this week. This one was to be a pit bike only. It only needed to have a headlight & tail light. Still has the oil injection, Not sure if it will make the cut or not. I want to focus ...
