Re: 2001 Honda Elite S (De-restricted): Aftermarket Carb Suggestions Anyone?

If you plan on keeping the stock bore, keep the stock carb. The bystarter is a neat feature and Keihin is good quality. Youd be hard pressed to find anything that fits as good and matches up with the stock bore as well. Mess with main jets or needles if you need to but keep it. Clean the shít out ...

2001 Honda Elite S (De-restricted): Aftermarket Carb Suggestions Anyone?

Hi all,

My 2001 Honda Elite S (De-restricted) has been sitting for some time now. When it was running, it ran great. However, I kept having the issue of kick starting it 30+ times before it would actually crank. I gave up for awhile.

I'm back (years later) and looking to get it up and running ...

2001 Elite S w/ Polini Corsa: What parts combo is proven?

Looking for any feedback for those who have ventured down the Polini Corsa path. Looking to gather intel on proven setups/parts combos that work well. I know everyone has their opinon, but if you had to state a proven parts setup with THE LEAST amount of issues/maintenence, what would you recommend ...

Re: Issues with tuning

I cannot get this thing to run right for the life of me.
In order to get a solid idle, I have to run a 45 pilot with the screw about 2 turns out, but when it sits and idles, it loads up and spits when you go to take off.
The 40 fixes that, but then seems to run a bit lean when cruising at about 40 ...

Re: Honda Elite S 50 - Need Performance Opinions for DIY Wri

It is definitely worth the upgrade to a polini carb, and also a stage 6 intake. Those ct's love to leak and the reads like to fall apart.
Most people think the pipe is the only reason their bike is loud, but this is false. Running an open filter makes a bike MUCH louder. If you want a sleeper ...

Honda Elite S 50 - Need Performance Opinions for DIY Writeup

Hey guys - been away for quite sometime (since 2014) as life took me a different route.

Regardless, I've come full circle back to my dusty Honda Elite that sits in the corner of the garage. On my shelves, I have several new/unopened parts that have never been installed and I'm looking to do this ...

Honda Elite 50 BBK Install: Any references to this?

Hi all,

About to embark on installing a Polini Corsa BBK. Curious if anyone has any links/references to properly installing this kit, how to break-in, what to do/not to do. Video instructions would be fantastic.

I plan on doing a detailed picture write-up to this process to document for future ...

Re: 99 elite SR Stock cylinder and gears (49.7mph gps verifi

Im debating on putting the 9:1 in it, I really like the take off it has with stock gears tho. I only have a handful of hours to mess with it right now. Im in town for 2 days and during the ride yesterday it started raining. When pulling into the drive she started to bog out so hopefully its from ...

Re: Variator questions...

Greetings:

The Polini-for-Ruckus is pretty hard to beat. I haven't used the Malossi, but based on comparisons between the top end products I'd expect it to be at least as good. The Polini uses its own bespoke ramp plate. SEFs and others can be modified to work but are very stiff in the Polini ...

Re: 90/90 Tires

Stupid question: Do they sell any kind of 90/90 Dual Purpose tire? Basically looking for a tread pattern similar to the Honda Ruckus but didn't know if anyone even made something like that?

I'm still trying to figure out if they sell a dual purpose tire for the Elite....tread pattern similar to ...

Re: 2001 Elite S 50: Big Bore Recommendations

Great info. I think what I'm going for is something that will increase takeoff speed and top speed...but will be somewhat reliable at WOT for 10 min at a time.

So with everything A 50mm BBK makes a HUGE difference in acceleration. You can get the jump on most cars when the light turns green ...
