Re: Starts cold, runs, hard time restarting when warm.

I had the exact same problem. My honda would not start when warm and it sucked at the gas station. Check your ignition timing and crank seals and that should do it. I checked my timing by sticking a small fluorescent tube over the magneto and connecting one end to the ignition coil and other end to ...

Re: Help please !

You need a by-starter for the engine to run properly. You cant simply plug the hole or the auto choke is on constantly pumping unnecessary fuel into the engine. I found out that the chinese GY6 scooters have auto chokes which fit the old sprees. i have done it on one of mine and it works just like ...

Re: ****Official Picture Post****

The nifty 50 is a problem when battery goes flat unfortunately. It doesn't really get used.

Also, People either love the beat or they hate it and think it looks like a lawnmower or snowmobile I have found.

Re: Elite 80 Starting enrichment valve

If you have the auto-bystarter, the o-ring is around the base where it goes on the carb. I cant see how it would disappear. Its bedded into a groove. If this is missing, you could put some solvent proof silicone around it to prevent an air leak but it should still run fine. I wouldn't bother about ...

Re: elite S with sym wire harness

You could buy yourself a switch from an electrical store and connect it in paralell between the ignition coil inlet. I think its the black/yellow wire and the green wire. That would turn off the engine just fine when you get the wiring sorted.

Re: elite S with sym wire harness

Just google 'Sym DD50 service manual'. You should get a PDF of the manual complete with wiring diagrams.

Re: ****Official Picture Post****

I love those old Mazda's. I would get rid of my crap bike for the car as well. Who cares about practicality or saving petrol. Unfortunately the car doesn't belong to me because I've already got two toys to play with.

I have a old Nifty 50 (we call the Spree 'Nifty 50' over here) as well as the Beat ...

The new Honda beat isn't like the original unfortunately.
I find them a bit boring
