Re: Honda Spree Piston Part Number

There is a different part number for the 86 and up rings, I'd go with rings matching the piston.

I ended up breaking a ring when trying to put it on the cylinder anyway lol so I'll just replace them.

Anyone know how to hone the cylinder on these? I know you need a 41mm flex hone correct? I was ...

Re: Honda Spree Piston Part Number

1984-85 Sprees had a slightly different piston and head. The original piston was 'dished'. The part you reference has a 'domed' head.

Folks have been swapping in the domed piston as a minor performance mod- dished pistons have been un-available for a few years.

Check out our 'wiki link for pics ...

Re: Honda Spree Piston Part Number

Ok I'm answering my own questions, so the part number 13102-GS6-670 is updated to 13101-GS6-505 and its for the 86 NQ50A. My next question is, will this work for a 1985 Honda Spree with a 1985 Spree with it's original cylinder and also for a 1986 Iowa Spree?

Honda Spree Piston Part Number

Does anybody know if the piston for an 1986 Iowa Spree and 1985 Spree is 13102-GS6-670. I bought two from a guy off of here a while ago and am just getting around to replacing them. However, when I go to look up the part number for the piston for those years, it gives me a different part number ...

Re: Bought Another Spree and...

Congrats on the new Spree...but sorry about the BS....

1) How is the air filter? I would put a new one in and make sure no one drilled holes in the cover.
2) Clean the muffler out...I use the oven cleaner and a water hose method.
3) Have you done a compression check?
4) You can use a helicoil for ...

Bought Another Spree and...

Whelp I bought an 84' Spree with just over 3000 miles on her. I took her on a few test runs before purchase and she went around 20-22mph. When starting her up you had to give it a little gas which I though at the time was probably due to the carb not being adjusted right. So I get her home and take ...

Fuel filter

I recently purchased an in-line fuel filter at O'Reillys the other day and am wondering how people get them to fit? It has the 1/4inch opening on both sides yet the tubing for the fuel is too small to fit over them.
