Re: Carb Leaks out of bottom hole
The bowl drain is not the hole that it is coming out of. If I drain the carb and start it up it will run fine for a while and then when I give it gas it starts to bog down and eventually stalls and then I see gas leaking out of the carb.

Carb Leaks out of bottom hole
Can anyone tell me why after I have the scooter running for a while that it appears to flood itself out to where the gas in my tank leaks out the bottom of my carb.
There is a hole in the carb that is on the bottom of the float bowl that it leaks out of.

Re: Scooter loses power sporadically
Not that I can tell. I replaced an old line and it worked fine for a long time. This just started happening.

Scooter loses power sporadically
While travelling at 25 MPH or so the scooter seems to lose power like it is not getting fuel for a second and then comes back up. I have cleaned the fuel system thoroughly and did not find anything when I filtered the gas out.
Any ideas what might be going on?
Thanks,
David

Re: Engine/piston work part 2
I double checked those while putting back together. Will not start using ignition switch or kick start.

Engine/piston work
Can anyone tell me where to find detailed directions on taking apart the engine? I replaced the cylinder gasket but I am still not getting higher than 30 PSI for compression so I think a ring went evern though the cylinder is not marred or scratched.

Re: Honda Elite
No I did not not, I am hoping the gasket solves the problem. I have worked on cars before but this is my first two cycle.

Re: Honda Elite
Also the cylinder is clean and smooth with no grooving or pitting that I can see from the top side. I thoroughly cleaned it and did not see any marring.

Re: Honda Elite
Before I took it apart the gauge did not read at all when I did both the electric start and kick start. After I took it apart and rotated the gasket I got the 35 PSI so I am hoping it is just a bad gasket.

Re: Honda Elite
I have had to order it. I put the old one back on in a different position and was able to get about 35 PSI on it but it would still not start.

What should a compression gauge read on an Honda Elite 50? the gauge does not move when I check it and when I pulled the cylindar head off the gasket was out of round. (metal gasket)
