Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

hi all,

i saw on craigslist a Honda Express 50cc for sale. it's an '81, garage kept and with only 1 or 2 owners throughout its life. it starts & runs well, electric/lights work. they're asking 300. go for it? what are things with this particular scoot I need to look out for, if it has problems ...

well, it's here! now just give me a few days to see about getting it all set up and i'll let you guys know what's going on then. wish me luck!

well, wiring harness is on its way. with any luck you won't hear a whole lot more questions from me (at least for the next two weeks or so!), but i'll update you guys with lots of pictures. assuming everything goes well, he'll be a different color soon...

still nothing. we opened the front plastics to find several of the wires (read: all turn-signal wires) nicked. the front turn signal wires were cut completely away. :evil:

two questions, i guess:

1. do the turn signals have one circuit, front and ...

and what about spree mirrors? unless someone has some aero mirrors laying around... seems like everyone's sold theirs already!

hi! i'm in cinci/nky, and that doesn't sound bad at all to me!

all bulbs have been replaced and ground wire successfully connected. upon closer inspection of the red wires leading to the fuse... theyre burnt. so is the fuse casing. this said, does the entire casing need replacing, or just the wires? also, there's a black... i don't know, maybe a fuse-box, that ...

i'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but since i'm trying to actually get my head around how these things WORK (one day i want to be answering questions instead of asking them)... i might as well go ahead and ask it anyway!
