My nb50m has a red seat and floorboards and black plastic panels. I've never seen this color combination on any other nb50m. All I see is black with red plastic panels. Any reason why? It seems like all the body parts that are for sale are the wrong color for me.

Sounds like the crankcase is filled with oil. Crank it for a bit with plug out and see whether oil shoots out the plug hole.
