Re: Did ring replacement, but compression still low
The initial compression test was around 70psi. When I added some oil to the cylinder, compression jumped up to around 120+ with WOT. It still won't start and run though. It just barely runs with the starter engaged but quits when the starter stops. Throttle position doesn't matter. Still can't ...

Re: Did ring replacement, but compression still low
I took the head and cylinder off again and rings are not broken and they are installed the right way up. Yes, everything was oiled up before assembly. The only thing I can think of is that the cylinder is worn out. I don't have a micrometer to test with. I may end up putting the bike up for sale ...

Did ring replacement, but compression still low
Had low compression and bike wouldnt start so I replaced the rings and gaskets so why am I only getting 70psi compression? I did the compression test right and I carefully honed the cylinder and cleaned off the gasket surfaces and torqued everything down to spec. I dont understand what could have ...

Is my stator bad?
I replaced the CDI box on my 1985 nb50m, and I've still got what I think is a weak spark with a NEW spark plug. Yes, I did the electrical checks on the ignition system and everything checked out within specs. I tried a small motorcycle coil in place of the one on the bike and that didnt help either ...

A question for 1985 Aero 50 owners-
My nb50m has a red seat and floorboards and black plastic panels. I've never seen this color combination on any other nb50m. All I see is black with red plastic panels. Any reason why? It seems like all the body parts that are for sale are the wrong color for me.

1985 nb50m has weak spark
Wondering why my scooter would not start, I checked the spark. It's very thin and weak, even with a NEW spark plug. What would cause this? I would expect with electronic ignition, it would either work great or not work at all. Is there a common part that fails when this happens? What about possible ...

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Sounds like the crankcase is filled with oil. Crank it for a bit with plug out and see whether oil shoots out the plug hole.

85 Aero - hard to start, won't stay running
I've got an 85 Aero that used to run great and I used it all the time. Now after sitting for a few weeks, it's very hard to start and won't stay running. If I put some fuel down the spark plug hole, it will crank for several seconds, and then it will finally hit and run very poorly, but barely ...
