Re: WTB Honda Helix
No audio, but here's a pic of the Bonanza pipe.
It's straight through, so pretty throaty.

Re: WTB Honda Helix
Installation of custom pipe complete.
Good throaty sound, easy fitment.
Turned out very good. I'm happy to be back on the road.

Re: Off-topic fun: Let's chat hobbies!
Over the years, hobbies come and go.
Combining scooter riding with visits to cemeteries has long been a hobby that gives me
a chance to be quiet and reflect. The stones will tell stories that can be sad.
I find some stones will have poetry, some bible verses.
There's never any drama going on, only ...

Re: WTB Honda Helix
Is the exhaust gasket on the Helix a hard part to find? Haven't heard that one before.
No, the gasket is still available from dealer, however it is double the price of aftermarket gasket. Trouble is, the aftermarket gasket is slightly too long for proper fitment, and gives big trouble when trying ...

Re: WTB Honda Helix
Thank you for diligence noiseguy getting page back up.
Since this post, I have bought 2 Helix scooters. Both 2001, one in RED and the BLACK.
Red bike is 7k mile bike, but PO opted to put a Chinese carburetor on it instead of trying to clean the OEM.

Re: 1984 Honda Aero 50 revving by itself
Most certainly those sheet-metal screws are NOT sealing the hoses they're inserted into. Suspect that sealed off bystarter is not doing you any favors. I'd be changing a lot of that mess back to stock if it were me.

Re: Mounting tubes tires
Mounting COLD tires is much harder than mounting WARM tires that have been laying in the sun for an hour.
Inflating tube slightly is NOT a good method.
Primary point to keep in mind is that the tire bead opposite the side you are trying to mount MUST be kept in the CENTER of the wheel to allow most ...

Re: WANTED AF16/AF18 in TX
I should think a Spree motor is not too hard to find. I see them regularly here in KY on marketplace needing work for $200 and up.
I just bought an Aero 50 with the variated AF05E. Huge difference in speed between it and Spree.

That bike MUST have a good tailight, and you MUST hold the rear brake to complete the starter circuit.

Re: The Daily Chat w/motor & Vintage
After 4 years of looking, this '85 bought 100 miles from home.
I really like the Aero 50 bike, this is the 3rd one I've had, all exactly the same.
