Oil Question
First, an apology. Sorry, I'm a dumbass. I'm sure this has been answered a million times here, but I couldn't find it. I was at the scooter store recently and I bought a quart of Amsoil Interceptor synthetic 2 cycle oil. It says recommended for use where API-TC or JASO FC oils are specified.

45 mph!
I was running some errands in the outer bands of Irene the other day. I caught a pretty good tailwind and a slight downhill at the same time. I happened to look down and the speedo was BURIED to the right. the engine sounded like it was coming apart. I finally had to roll off. I was afraid it was ...

Interesting. I have no idea why it came loose but I can see what you're talking about. The thread are def not stripped. I'll keep an eye on it for awhile to make sure it stays put. Thanks.

93 Elite 50SR Starts and Runs, but Won't Idle
Hi Guys,
My 93 Elite 50 died on me the other day. I can get it started (not easily) and it will run as long as I keep the throttle open, but it dies as soon as I come to a stop or as soon as I let the throttle go to idle.
Any advice would be appreciated. I'm not a bad DIYer, but I know nothing ...

I'm not up on the lingo. Is the sa50 the same as an Elite 50? If so, did you see any preformance gains? Did you need to rejet the carb?eliteguy50 wrote:I had my Leo Vince sp3 on a '93 sa50.

Re: AF05E Exhaust List - Aero and Elite 87-93 engines
Has anyone ever gotten an exhaust that fit on an 93 Elite SR? If so, where and how much. I already have one exhaust that doesn't fit in my garage. I don't want another one.
Thanks,
Jim Moore

Thanks fellas. Good points. I patched a flat yesterday. Now it's flat again so I get to take the wheel off again! Yay.

Rear Axle Nut Torque - 93 Elite 50 SR
Guys,
The manual says 80 ft-lb for the rear axle nut. That seems pretty stout! Is that correct or am I reading it wrong?
Thanks,
Jim Moore

Re: Jiangwayne Racing Pipe for 60-90cc Suggestions
I wouldn't buy a pack of smokes from those * idiots. They sold me a pipe which the claimed would fit on my 93 Elite SR. It's didn't, now we're battling over the return.
that being said, I have a never-used 1830A-GW0-0020 I'll sell ya for $50 + shipping.
Edit; I'm talking about the JiangWayne guys ...

Re: Heavier Rollers = More Top Speed?
Thanks guys. I'm starting to get it now. How about a 3.5 inch rear tire (currently 3.0)? Or am I beating a dead horse here without some sort of engine mod?

Heavier Rollers = More Top Speed?
Folks,
I have a 93 Elite SR. I just put in an aftermarket variator and some 7g rollers. It increased my top speed to about 42 mph, but I am wondering two things. First, did the rollers increase my speed, or was it the fact that I left the backing plate off? Second, would heavier rollers get me even ...
