So the 1987 Honda Elite SE50 was running 3 weeks ago great and now it wont start at all after sitting for 3 weeks and I need some opinions / thoughts. Here is what I know:

1. Compression test reading: 90
2. Spark on spark plug when pulled and touched to head

Figured it out! Real real simple! Totally overlooked the simple thing AGAIN! Guesses?

Is the ramp plate supposed to go past the point noted in the picture below with the red arrow on the drive shaft? Mine does. It is where the variator stops on the drive shaft and stops the drive boss but my ramp plate goes past here...

Been awhile, my apologies but I have grown sour on this thing. Willing to dig in a little more. So I put it back together tonight with marker lines on the drive face and it wouldnt go over 20mph and got REALLY hot. Took it back apart and the belit did not travel over half way up its old lines ...

I put the marker lines on the variator and pulley to see how high the belt goes, check and see if that is my 25 mph or less issue ...

I do not have the inner washer... I think this may be from a spree but can anyone confirm yay or nay that there is supposed to be a washer BEFORE the ramp plate as shown above?

I thought they were as well BUT they cleaned up nice and the outer wheel will only go over the splines if I have it lined up right, so I hope that doesnt meant they are chewed... That being said I can get to 24mph but cant go any faster so if its spinning or slipping at that top end ...

UPDATE:

Took it apart and put it back together again. Kick start still wont engage but estart works. Took it for a ride and got it to 40 mph. Then on my way home Im cruising along at 38 and SPIIIIIIIIINNNNN. I hit the brake and kill the engine. I then restart and everything seems ok. Drive it home ...

Did you swap/forget/lose the variator boss? Maybe it's the wrong diameter/length? Pics would help. It's easy to bugger the splines on the crank if tou don't put some slack in e belt before you tighten the nut.
