whait a minute you said you replaisted the rings if you use not original rings this could be your problem this dont seet very well and can make your engine not idlee and get hot smely ... the most inportant on a spree in the compretion if it doesent have mush it wont work right.....

hello i think i know what your problem is i hade the same problem many times ok first thing that has to be perfect on a spree carb is the choke needle if is mising ... or the little cilnder and spring are not held together by tree plastic clips, the scooter will not idlee right..check this and run ...

the1984 1985 head does not have a weld washer at the spark tread and the combustion chamber is flater wy do you think this to year models came whith low compretion piston for.....
