It's below the front bushings on the 85. In 86/87 they changed it to a slip in to the frame design. If the way it's set up (stock 85 mount) I will change to the 87 mount I have. Paul is correct the stock mount is in tacked. (intact) I just moved the hanger mount back. It may vibrate more because of the big bore.

I dont see why you would do a BB and not the pipe and intake/carb.
as you say it will not reach higher rpms without the added parts.
so a BB will just get you to 35mph faster. thats not his goal.

with just a few cheep mods i was able to hit 45 mph all day long.
1) ruckus variator: best thing you can do to a stock Aero, got me to 45 with just this mod.
2) upjet the main to an #85: this will richen up the air to fuel ratio and help mantain 47.

it only hase one bolt (through the shroud). the plate just pushes on the pump to hold it in place.

there is a bolt that goes through that plate then through the shroud that covers the top end.
