i have that same set up .. and use a 95 main .. but if at wot the chop for the 98 is good. then maybe move the needle clip . down will richen.. up will lean ...make sure you have a clean air filter too.

if the batt is one you had to pour the acid into . you have to let it sit for at least an hour before charging..

1987 spree 21mm carb 48mm bbk.all taz gear.running 32:1 premix , no pump. issue is with idle and ridding close to 1/4 throttle. i got a 92 main witch seems to be good ..a 38 pilot thats seems to be rich ..im gonna move down to a 35. maybe even a 32.. i was wondering if anyone has gone that far down ...

So I should just tune it up and not worry about the smoke.Do you think the 38 pilot jet is too small? Or maybe try another mix. When I let off the throttle it will stall out not sure if it's lean or rich .
