Re: piston/cylinder scored

I never went wot for more then a couple seconds...and I only did that a few times. I also let the scooter idle warm up for 5 min ...

piston/cylinder scored

I put a big bore kit on my spree. First tank of gas mixed the right amount of oil in. I did the engine break in then went easy on it for about 20 miles. After this I started going full throttle in short sequences. yesterday I was cruising around and keeping it about 20% under full throttle and it ...

heavy duty front end upgrade for spree???

I was wondering if there is stronger front end that will bolt on to a spree. I have a sidecar that puts alot more stress on the front end when turning. Because the bike doesnt lean in turns with the sidecar it put extra horizontal stress on the front forks.
I was also thinking of doing some kind of ...

Re: 65 mph spree build

OK I get what you are saying. For a top speed run I guess I would have to start on a hill to get it rolling then just use the sidecar motor.

OK so I admit, the scooter/sidecar idea is not perfect but it was fun to build and its somthing I have never seen done. Its fun driving it around town, gets ...

Re: 65 mph spree build

If I were going to try for 65mph both motors would be needed to reach max speed. The way I would gear it for top speed would be with a smaller sprocket (30t) it has a 54t right now. I have the 30t but its more fun with the 54 for zipping around. anyways the way it would work if I put the 30t on is ...

Re: 65 mph spree build

When this contraption is "doing wheelies like nothing" What wheels come off the ground?

It it really a wheelie, or does it just tip slightly back and to the left?

well I got the hardest part done last night. Spent about 6 hours working on it. Waiting for a few more parts then it will be ready. I ...

Yes......the undetectable "power adder"

Can a person actually ride in the side car?

Does the side car wheel have brakes?

I never said power adder....I said "power source ...

Re: 65 mph spree build

Dangerous :surprise:

I will give you props for creativity ....but I would never get in to that death trap. :nervous:

So does it go 65mph? :jack:

How does the dual throttle thing work?
it has the power and gearing to do 65 but I am not brave enough for that yet. I have been considering ...

Re: 65 mph spree build

here is the second throttle and kill switch. The sidecar is detachable from the scooter and only takes a few minutes to remove. Also the entire body of the sidecar pulls off its frame so its super easy to work on.

65 mph spree build

let me start by posting this link in case everyone is not caught up...
http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=20784

well I am pretty much done with the build. It is pretty scary past half throttle bc the spree just doesnt feel stable at all; mainly in the front end. I know a big part is ...

well I got the hardest part done last night. Spent about 6 hours working on it. Waiting for a few more parts then it will be ready. I am pretty nervous about doing 65 on a spree...I just dont think it will be stable at that speed.

Re: a couple questions on big bore kit

If you hav fitted the bbk why havent you started the build thread

Because a 44 BBK is not worthy anymore of a build thread, post *. Especially without a gear change and an intake kit.
pretty much...once I make my build thread you will see why the 44 bbk is insignificant. I plan to make some ...
