Just for the record new rollers and smoothing out the sharp edges on my ramp plate fixed the problem.

I was riding one morning shut it off and tried to start it a hour later and it had lost compression.The rings were stuck in the piston .They seemed carboned up.Replaced piston and rings and rode it gently for about 2 tanks ...

I have a 2001 elite 72 cc contessa ,v8 pipe ,red clutch spring ,21mm carb and intake.I currently have a Keli variator .The rollers are chopping up they look like someone took a cheese grater to them.Should I change my variator to a polini .Will I notice a difference.

I have a strange chatter at mid rpms sounds like my rollers are chattering and they have funny wear on them like they are choppy ?
