I agree, $700 asking price is too low.
OK, I'll start at $750 and see what happens. It is a nice bike and I hate to part with it but I just bought a '83 Honda CT110 trail bike and I don't have room for both and my other rides. Anybody in the greater Seattle area interested in a super nice, low ...

'87 SE50 Fair Selling Price?
What's a fair and reasonable starting price for a 1987 SE50 Elite with just under 1,600 original miles? It runs very well, has no mechanical issues, both tires are new, has a new battery and comes with original user's manual, Honda service manual, windshield, top case, front basket and a spare set ...

Thanks! I'll definitely remember to top the tank off.Bear45-70 wrote:All day or until the gas tank goes dry (the dry tank thing is a bad idea as it leans the engine out).
They are designed for this type of use.

Wide Open Throttle?
How long can you do WOT on a 50cc 2T engine before causing engine damage? My '87 SE50 with Keli performance variator can now do 42.5 mph GPS indicated but I need to hold that speed on a nearby 40 mph speed limit 4 lane divided highway just to keep up with traffic. Fortunately, the road has an HOV ...

Re: I'm at a loss for words...
NEVER take it to the dealer!!!
Actually, most MC/scooter dealers won't work on bikes that are over 10 years old. And, yes, that most likely means they'd like to sell you a new one claiming your old scoot just isn't worth fixing. Well, since it definitely is worth fixing, that means we've got to ...

Re: 1985 Elite 150 Full Restoration - In Progress
Looks like a worthwhile project and as I also own an Elite 150, you should know that there is also an Elite 150 user's forum. If you need body panels, special mechanical advice, etc. this would be the place to go. Good luck!

A Performance Variator Does Make a Difference......
but not all that much. I had the Keli Variator I bought from Daywot installed on my '87 SE50 Elite and over the same course and basically the same weather conditions, my average GPS recorded top speed went from 39.4 mph to 42.5 mph or a 3.1 mph increase. A bit less than Daywot's claimed 4 - 5 mph ...

Re: My first scoot kill story.
I live in Minneapolis, only a mile or so from the sprawling campus of the University of Minnesota. I see a LOT of scooters parked around the area, but i never end up at stoplights with them.
Anyway, today i was riding the elite around with my buddy who was on his modded Rattler 110. There is a red ...

Re: Should I buy my baby back?
So quick back story, I sold my cherry red Elite which was tastefully modified, about a year ago. She's back up for sale, per new owner.
This is the same Elite that's in our banner up top. Can be seen in action here:

Re: Elite build bbk help
You will need an 8.44:1 or lower so you won't over rev an engine like 72cc's.
9:1's will be too high of gear on a bbk in my opinion.
Did you check with redeftperformance? I recommend the Malossi kit.
Im going for more lower end for uphills and wheelies and only 55mph. More is cool but I really ...

Re: Elite build bbk help
I have a 94 elite sr I recently installed 9.1-1 final gears and a keli vari. I want to make my scoot wheelie and do around 55 mph on flat road ( It does around 45 now).
