i felt the difference when i bought a taiwan brand no rev limit cdi, not ajustable but takes out the restricted cdi programming i guess?

Uhhh... for one thing, if you read the manual it says to use regular motor oil. And if you use heavy weight gear oil (80-90W) it will make the scoot sluggish.
I've alredy tried gear oil on mine and it doesn't work too great. :arrow:
Gear oil should be used in the gear box.

they don't make racing cranks for the dio engine any more. They are hard to find but i hope you do. the malossi will be very expensive if you find one. Hope you get a deal on it if you do. The sef will even be harder to find.

that forward motion sounds like you just need to tune your idle screw strrt from 1 1/2 turn outs... n work from their... but yah i think you should open up your cylinder and drain some of the water that may have got sucked in by your carb then bogged out? are you running an air filter going through ...

if you buy your motor complete why would you wanna use a spree carb? if you buy a dio motor then there is a whole nother spectrum of aftermarket parts to choose from... as far as carbs gears cylinders belts pulleys clutches pipes cranks... ect, why would you want a spree carb, as far as the harness ...
