Still working on getting my scoot back up and running after taking a little break. **sigh**
Anyway, I noticed it was leaking fuel pretty good when I started it up over the weekend. Upon inspection, I found where it was coming from. The diagram in this thread was the closest thing I could find to ...

Re: 1984 Honda Aero 80 new performance problems
When he replaced the rollers, did he install them dry after cleaning all the grease out or did he regrease them?
The poor performance could be from and air leak on the intake side.
Did he screw around with the bystarter hoses?
Mechanic says: He was told not to re-grease by a Honda certified ...

Re: 1984 Honda Aero 80 new performance problems
Can you get more info on the replacement parts used?
What kind of belt? stock #?
What are the weights of the rollers? the old and the new?
This info should be helpful to help with diagnosis and/or (hopeful) solution.
Keep you chin up, it's still running! ;)
Was there anything else that the ...

1984 Honda Aero 80 new performance problems
I'll try and keep this short and sweet.
As some of you know, I recently bought a NH80 and starting painting it. I had hoped to post pics of my completed project soon thereafter, but decided to take it to a local motorcycle and scooter shop first, just to have it given a little tune-up for some ...

Re: My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
How are you getting those stickers off? just wondering...
I use a heat gun to take stickers off but it's a bit tricky since if it's on too long, it'll start melting and warping the plastic as well..
Thanks for the encouragement.
The stickers are SOL. There was no good way to salvage ...

Re: My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
My seat lock recently became attached only by the cable today Fain, the guy before me had it jb welded to the plastic handgrip, but that was broke off too. Gonna have to figure something out for that later on. Love the scooter though, looks great, and I'm super jealous all your decals are there ...

Re: My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
Yeah, I can't imagine removing and re-applying. I meant you might be able to tape over them.
Good Point! I may do just that and see what it looks like.
You might try some Mother's "Back to Black" on the paint before you repaint. The stuff is amazing.

Re: My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
I've never tried EZ-off - looks like the original decals may be worth keeping even if the original paint needs touching up. Never ceases to amaze me what people will do with spray-paint. I saw that you are looking for switches and keys - one thought: before spending $50.00, if the switch works, you ...

Re: My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
Took most of the panels off last night. First thing I wanted to do was get that old paint job off of there. It looked like it was done with some cheap spray paint, and was just a scratch away from being exposed. So I did just a little research for how to get spray paint off of plastic. Apparently ...

Re: My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
Welcome aboard, Fainspawn. The Aero is somewhat scarce here in TN. Seems like they are abundant on the west coast. I was able to find an Aero125 and it has become my ride of choice for daily excursion. currently mine is undergoing a Spring clean-up with new tires and some carb upgrading. Rock-on ...

My first Honda Aero: 1984 NH80
Well, here it goes! I've been cyber-stalking these boards for about the past 4 months, and figured it was past time to become a member and post.
I purchased my first scooter this past October, and it's been a very educational experience. I fell in love with this Aero from the moment I saw ...
