Is there some kind of adapter for our scooter wheels valve stems. I tried to air up the tires with a gas station air pump, and it wouldnt fit. Then I tried a home bicycle pump, and it wouldnt fit either. The problem is that the head of the pump wont fit between the valve stem and spoke part of the ...

well I put some fresh fuel in her, and adjusted the throttle stop and air screw and shes running. Still a little rough, but starts up fine and stays runnin.

if it ran before it just lost its prime ..just a little gas oil mix in the spark plug hole is all it needs to get it going.....gas dose not go bad in 3 weeks but if the gas was old before you got it then maybe its bad...you may be doing the braking down the carb and clean it for nothing.... it cood ...

Thanks dun right. The guy claimed that it has a new carb. He gave me the old one, so had no reason to doubt him.

when starting a cold motor you need to not open up the gas if you do the chock is not helping it start..but when the motor is worm you need to open it up a little ...

I dont give it any gas when or starting...just hit the button or stomp it. Open what up, im not sure I understand ...

I was figuring it was a fuel/air delivery problem. So I guess I should try to change the pilot jet? Or just give it a cleaning? Where is it located?

Well I got it going. All I did was tighten the spark plug, and she fired up. So I got her going, hopped on and rode over to my friends house. Initially it rode like it did when I bought it.....slow to accelerate, almost boggs down, but then gets going. Got to my friends, and it sat for a good hour ...

Its only been 3 weeks since its ran, is that long enough to get it gummed up?

Is your battery charged, plug wire on, 2 connectors on coil on, cdi plugged in, brake on? check compression also. I get a manual for all my scooters, but you can use wikispreedia on this site for info. I live in so. Indiana, if you live close, I can help.

I purchased a 99 elite sr about 3 weeks ago. When I bought it, it fired right up. Took it for a test ride...rear wheel was bent, but seemed to run ok. Got the scooter home about an hour later, started right up again. Well, now its been sitting for a few weeks, waiting for me to get a new rear wheel ...
