Won’t even pop with premix added to spark plug hole. Which tells me it’s possibly not getting spark. That said, turning it over with plug held against frame its definitely getting spark.

Do you get a spark with the plug grounded to the head/engine rather than frame?

The 86-87 three wire sender is mated up to an electrically different gauge than the 84-85 Sprees.
Thus the sender/gauges only function correctly as a matched set.

It is possible to wire the late sender to the early gauge, but IRC the following:
The early Spree gauge will read 2/3 to 3/4 Full when ...

When oil drains down past the check-ball in the oil pump, what is the proper way to remedy the problem, considering you want to retain the pump in use ?

From the relay harness when key is on I get 11.6 volts to 1 prong and when I squeeze brake I get 10.2 volts to prong directly next to it and when I press start button I get nothing ...
There is no listed spec on the minimum relay 'pull-in' voltage, but I tested one on the bench a long time ago ...

I have replaced the starter Relay with a brand new one. Put test light on it and 2 of the prongs get Juice

In your photo the center pulley is the early Spree. The pulley on the left of your pic is the newer one.

Most everything covered on this board had an electrical actuated cold start system. I know little about Melody scooter models,
but in searching have found cable and vacuum operated systems were present on various Melody models.
