Re: tuning a se50 variator
I ordered my OEM AF05E crank bearings, gasket kit and seals from Partzilla.com. You can do a price search for many part # at the same time and their service is great. Prices also!

stock AF05E max RPM?
Hello guys,
I just bought a Canadian 1989 SE50 (Élite R) like this one :http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Pictures/eliteRwhite.jpg. It is completely stock and goes about 38 MPH at 7400RPM. What is the usual max RPM on that engine?
Also, I plan to install a Polini BBK and a Leo Vince exhaust. What ...

Re: 1987 SE50 Replacement rings : identical or different?
I just saw that the upper cannot go in the lower position because of its height... I am just surprised that they are not labeled T1 and T2, but both 'N'...
Somebody ever bought Honda replacement rings in the original size could confirm?
Thanks for the answers.

Ok. Then how do you distinguish them?Pete M wrote:Yes. If you install the wrong ring in the wrong ring land, you will not be able to get the ring compressed enough to install it.

1987 SE50 Replacement rings : identical or different?
Hello guys,
The rings were replaced on my SE50 some years ago.
My manual says that the upper and lower rings are different and should be identified accordingly (T1, T2). But they are not. Both have a 'N' on the top, and they look the same. Is there really an upper and lower ring?

Re: New to this forum... and have some questions
When installing a big bore kit on a AF05E (and let's say a Leovince SP3 exhaust), is it necessary to change other things to keep the reliability? For example, is it enough to replace the main jet by the one supplied in the Polini kit to get correct carburation?
