I found a dio fork and stem on Craigslist and was wondering if this would be a bolt on swap on my 99 elite. I'm guessing it would be a cheaper alternative to disc brakes than the stem that scooter swap shop is selling. Any one ever done this?

I'm not sure what motor the 89 elite has exactly. I know the 94-01 has an sa50 (or af16 to be exact). When i searched parts I looked for sa50. If I remember correctly the earlier elites had se50 engines. Again don't quote me on that. Im sure you can find it in a search.

I think the 89 uses a lot of the same parts as the 94-01 but don't quote me on that. Start off with a high speed variator.
