Thanks for the suggestions. I will look again at the float bowl screw, which is suppose to be turned all the way in.
I will put a hose on the vent from the overflow line. This is where all the gas is leaking out at a huge and rapid rate.

Hopefully this will help with my issues.

Ok, here is the final pic. This is the vent from the carb bowl meant for overflow, I believe.

I think it had a very short hose connected to the vent that was not connected to anything, just open to the air.

Here is a pic of the lower left side vent that has no hose attached.

Where does the hose attach to????

I really need some help reassembling my 2001 Honda Elite carburator hoses.

I have a 1988 Elite. I took the carburator apart, put new gaskets in, cleaned and put back together with no problem. It runs great..does 35 mph easily.

I bought this 2001 Elite which was only topping at 22 mph ...

Trying to do the same type of restricitons on my 2001 Honda Elite S 50

I tried going to the cite listed below by ODIN for the variator parts....but I can't seem to find them on that page

I am a stupid Old Man with bad vision...LOL!
Checked the diagram on This pic......that was a huge help for me as I am learning the ends&outs of working on my Honda.
I believe that part is on the carb.

I ended up going to local Auto Zone, got some carb gasket material, cut out my own and ...

Wish y'all had some pics of what this part is....

Double checked the carb bolts......The 2 bolts running left and right on the dog-ears of the carb are good and snug......should not be any air leaks there.
