Haven't had the time to put it up here. My beloved Spree got stolen Saturday afternoon.
I came home from work to find out my scooter was missing. Went looking around the apartment complex, then the development, looked all over the town, then the shady areas of town. Nothing. The column was locked ...

Re: Biggest front tire on Spree
I believe 2.75x10 is what you will want. I have them on the front and rear of my 85 spree. They don't rub at all and fit the stock 1.5x10 wheels with tubes just fine.
As far as the BIGGEST tire that can fit on the FRONT of a stock spree front end goes, I'm not actually sure.
3x10 might be too big ...

Biggest front tire on Spree
My front tire is still the original from 1986 and the sidewall is dry rotted. I plan on switching it out and want to go bigger, but I'm unsure on how big I can go with the factory forks. Can anyone help me out?

Re: AF16E swap questions
Use the stator from the spree. There is a write up on how to mod a 87 elite s motor mount done by trafficjam and order the longest aftermarket shock you can find for an elite. Other than that its pretty easy. Drill a hole thru the frame and stick a bolt thru it and tack weld. Look at my spree build ...

AF16E swap questions
After a good while, I've finally got a hold of an AF16E for my Spree along with a regulator, starter relay, and CDI. I'm just missing a harness (along with ignition coil) and the dual throttle cable.
What I want to know is how many people have rigged up their factory Spree harness to use the Elite ...

Re: Dio swap help
if you use a SE50 engine mount you can mount the motor with out welding just some trimming of the mount .You will need to relocate the shock .About where the voltage reg is bolted is a great place with good angle .Actually you may need to go further back as your zx50 engine has a longer case for ...

Re: Dio swap help
Good to know, thanks!
I'm picking up a bottom end with a bad crank for around $70, and since I couldn't find a full Dio swap, I figured I'd start somewhere. Finding the drivetrain, wheel, and brake will be the next task... For those three, does it have to be specific to the ZX50 as well?

Dio swap help
This may sound very noob-ish of me, but...
I have an '86 Spree and want to ditch the factory engine for a Dio one. I've been having a hard time finding one, however, I may have found a Kymco version.
It's off a ZX50 Fever (Super Fever, maybe?) and the engine code is KY-SC10. My concern is I've ...

Julianachos' '86 Spree build
Hey guys! I'm new here, so I hope you guys don't bite haha. I'm a photographer and a bit of a picture *, so yeah.
This started off when my friend kept teasing me by saying he'd sell me his '86 Spree. It was one of those toys that he had that we'd always play around with when drunk. I wanted to buy ...
