Hah, that's funny about the apologizing thing. How far should that drain screw be set back? Guess I'll play with it tonight.

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
That worked! Everything is working now. Now to stop the leak in the carb. Probably a new carb gasket set.
Of course she target fixated into a stop sign and crashed in the grass. No damage to bike and hurt feelings.

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
Got a light from mopedmark on the way. Decided to disassemble the current assembly and stuck a H11 bulb (non hid) in it.
It works!
Blinkers are still insanely fast.

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
I think I have determined that the headlight is busted. I put 12 AC volts directly to it and it doesn't turn on. I checked with my voltmeter and i confirmed that it's getting the correct voltage on the wires...around 8v idle and 12ish with throttle. So going to order a headlight.

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
I'll check this all tonight. I did wonder about the headlight not working causes a fast blink rate. Really appreciate all the help. I hate having things not working correctly, and really want this scoot to work to get my fiance into riding.

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
You are a smart man. Previous owner had some electrical tape around front blinkers and guys what? they wrapped it around ground.
So blinkers work but are blinking at an inane rate... sounds like a machine gun.
Headlight still a no go. How much voltage does it require?

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
Saying that they needed to be all conducted was perfect sorta. The rear blinkers come on But are sold and don't blink. The front blinkers don't work at all nor the head light. I checked with a volt meter and it seemed to be getting 12 voters to both blinkers. I hear the relay? Start but no clicks ...

Re: She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
Checked out the rear blinkers and now I understand why only one cable to each. Now my question is why are they not working? Same deal with the headlights and front blinkers.

She's Alive but no lights - 86 Honda Spree
Finally got her running. Carb clean and proper oil did the trick. Changed both oil spots too since PO knew nothing about maintenance.
Currently only the tail light/brake light work. Every other light does not work. Also, I noticed when taking off the basket that there is only one wire to each turn ...

1986 Honda Spree Carb Question
Hello all,
I recently acquired a Spree, and it was running really bad and would stall above 1/2 or 3/4 throttle. I figured the carb was dirty. I pulled the carb, cleaned it up and thought I put everything back together properly. Except I seem to have a section missing a cable.
