Thanks for all the help. The globes in the new rear indicators were only 10 watt. So i just ran another wire from each positive lead and hooked it up to two extra bulbs and earthed them. taped in up and tucked them away. Indicators now flash. Crude but it works.

The rear carry rack and turn signals are long lost for my nifty 50. Ive bought some after market ones but are unsure how to wire them up because as far as i can tell there is only one set of wires to connect to, a light blue one and an orange one. Previously without the rear indicators ...

Yes looks like the only difference between the two. probably some local design rule. Here's a photo of the instrument panel. Apart from that and the round headlight bezel pretty much the same as the U.S version
