Re: Spree hard starting and going slow
Looks like the threads on one side of the carb are stripped :( I tried to fix it by putting a smaller bolt through the hole and attaching a nut on the other side but still same problem. Im wondering if maybe the bystarter is the problem? Im also thinking of putting a primer on the carb so it starts ...

Re: Spree hard starting and going slow
I just finished testing the compression. I read somewhere that to check compression on the spree you are only supposed to turn it over 3 times. I did that and got 60psi. Then, I just kept turning it over until the needle stopped moving that resulted in a reading of about 110 psi. Which is right?

Spree hard starting and going slow
My spree starts very hard when it is cold, like so hard I have to spray a little starting fluid in it to get it to go. Also, I can only get it up to about 25mph and it is not an iowa. I must have cleaned the carb 5 times in the last week. This one has me stumped...

I opened up the clutch cover on my spree and there is lots of black stuff inside so Im assuming I could use an new belt. I heard that the AX27 belt is a good upgrade to the stock belt. Re: Spree performance exhaust
With the MLM pipe do you gain any top end on the spree? or is the gain mostly in the bottom-mid range?
