Then I have to buy one off ebay haha. Who knows. Maybe that will work. But with more than $300 in new parts into the spree. ( bought the spree for $300 ) not really looking to put much more money into it haha.

I still have my 85 bendix in there. I never changed it. I only changed my starting gear. And I have used the current gear for months ( sence may when I got the spree and all of the extra parts ) and have had no problems untill the belt change.

Funny you mention the starter gear. It was originaly a smooth gear ( no bumps for kick start. ) I put it on there because I knew my original gear would not work. When I went to place the new cover ( kick start assembaly ) the starters were in diffrent positions not allowing the plate to line up! So ...

1985 honda spree starter coming out of place?
hi. so i am having a problem with my spree (not that surprising to me any more) after a recent stater swap she ran great! now the problem is the starter where when i go to start it the starter engages but slips out of the hole and does not disengage. so it will stat stuck in the "starting" position ...

honda spree stator removal
hi. im trying to remove the stator off my spare honda spree engine. i belive i have to split the crank case by undoing about 8 bolts. is there any other way or do i HAVE have to split the case. any help appreciated. thank you

Ok thank you for all of your help. You have been realy helpfull. I might just end up trying my friends fuse. And possibly even his battery. Battery is original and so is his fuse. And his spree runs like a champ

I bet you dollars to doughnuts that the fuse is the problem. Looks like i need a new fuse. I had a 20A fuse. Any clue on were to buy a 7A fuse?
