Hi I'm having just about the same trouble. But the first thing that comes to mind is that you may have a problem with the vacuum line its self. have you tested it to see if it has any leaks?

Well I seem to have it going. It will still flood if I'm not careful. This the procedure that seems to work is, crank it over a couple of times, put your hand over the air box opening and give it another go and she is off.

Not sure if this is the right or wrong conclusion, but it hadn't run for ...

got it going but Still having problems

Well after just about wanting to shoot the thing, a friend mentioned pulling the plug, taking a bbq lighter to burn out the flooded cylinder, then taking a torch and heating the spark plug to cherry red (I couldn't bring myself to do that but did get it hot) put the plug back in, close the air ...

I couldn't get the hi speed plug locally so it is just the regular one the manual recommends. I'm loath to pull the carb apart unless I must, if flooding is a sign of a dirty carb, then that is what I will do. On the Honda CT90 site someone said that 90% of carb problems are electrical, which tends ...

Still having problems

I'm still having a hard time with this Spree. I got new plugs, the new ones that came with it were incorrect. With a new plug I got it started right away, but it would only run at half to full throttle, once I let off it died, it was flooded. I'm at this point that every thing I assume is wrong. I ...

Thanks Doc

I'm going to stop a Wally World tonight. I'm also going to pick up an another new plug.

So far I've had it fire twice and now nothing, I figured that I had found the problem as the air box was slightly off the carb, even though was in line and looked right. Now for the life of me I can ...

Thanks that is what I was thinking, so followed your advice It fired once and died, it looks like I have a week battery, the battery is now on a charger.

Is there a battery of choice, I priced a Yuasa yesterday a $60.00 CDN it seemed high, my ct battery was $27.

Newbie: won't start, seems to be fuel problem

I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I couldn't find an answer in the search feature. I am working on a Spree basket case, A friend had it running last year but the fuel tank leaked. I have repaired the tank and have it back together, now how do I get fuel to the carb, does it have to be ...
