Re: California title/registration ?

Great news ! Finally got my plates and registration today. Title in the mail in a few weeks !!!

After paying the local PD to do a VIN verification, (REG31) i took my statement of facts page, request form for change of ownership, to the DMV a few weeks ago. Had everything in order, but they didn't ...

Re: California title/registration ?

The X would have to be registered as a "motor driven cycle"

*A motor-driven cycle has 149cc or less engine size. CVC §405
*A motor-driven cycle has to be registered and the driver must have a motorcycle license (M1).

Not a moped since it does not have "pedals"

Re: Bring this X back to life

Haven't lost interest, just been busy with other projects and been cheating on the X with it's new stable mate, a Zuma 50

Tomorrow i have a VIN verification scheduled with the local constable. I know where the VIN # is, could use a tip on finding the engine number.

TIA

I'll be watching too. I just bought the same machine last week. Man, it's a dream to ride. So smooth. BTW, you'll want to ditch those Kendas and put some Michelin Boppers on.

Re: Bring this X back to life

Thanks for the pics. Strange how different our scoots are. *, even your car sits different than mine. I assume your exhaust was off in that last pic ?

btw, whats with the language filter on this site ? I originally used the word w.e.i.r.d. in place of "strange" and it ** it out ?

Re: X wont stay running condition

SIX, there are some other photos listed in the Scooter Builds thread "Bring this X back to life" i think was the title.

What "line to engine" are you talking about ? The pulse line ? I have replaced all fuel lines on the bike, and it's getting plenty of fuel to idle a 50cc engine. I've taken the ...

Re: The GYRO That Got Away /66SIX

Yes. That's it. I had seen it on CL here locally, then on sunday. I appreciate the oddball, and when i saw how it tilted, i knew it had to be mine. I had bought an old radio the prior week from him and talked with him a good bit about the outboard he traded for the Gyro. BTW, i got it for less than ...

Re: X wont stay running condition

I have and use the same tool. It's actually a tip cleaning kit for a oxy/accet. torch. Works great, only there isn't one small enough for the by starter fuel bowl port. I use a strand of wire for that one.
