Thanks!. Is that somehow partial to this particular plug? I've got a garage full of bikes, not to mention all the mowers, small machines, cars, etc., and I don't recall ever having to unscrew a tip.

The bike is a 1985 Honda Aero 50. The manual calls for NGK BPR6HS. I got a replacement from Torch (E6RTC), and it threads properly but the other side (terminal) is too big to fit into the plug wire. So I tried again with the actual NGK part, the BPR6HS that the manual calls for, and that also ...

Maybe he got lucky...or maybe he just had the wherewithal to see it in my sig, right at the top. I was under the impression that one of the reasons to list your bike there was so you wouldn't have to indicate it each time (for example, see eclark's recent post on temperature).

Any maintenance suggestions while the exhaust and wheels are off? Things to check out? Brake pads look good, bike has a little over 3000 miles. This mounting of the new tires is a gigantic PITA, so I am no rush to get it done (in fact I'll likely break down and take them to a shop).

After adding new rollers, some sanding, and cleaning, etc...the hard "shifting" seems to be gone. Must have been the rollers.

Yeah that last pic is what it looked like when I opened it...that's why I was saying I was surprised. Thanks for the tips guys. Anybody know the stock weight for the rollers? I think its 10g but can't find it in the manual. And maybe a good place to order them? I'd like to stay away from the crap ...

Update: after putting in Bones' fuel mixture tube (looks just like a jet), the Aero seems to be doing great. I popped out the broken off piece, slid in the new tube and even after a couple days sitting without running, it started right up. Thanks again! One thing that did surprise me while testing ...

Thanks motormike...will do. Right now the only thing that the bike does not have is the hardware holding the plastic panels on. I'll take a closer look soon.

The bystarter itself is new...I'm curious if just the brass tube in the picture itself (which is not part of the bystarter) can be purchased or found somehow.
