So, a quick recap on this. Happened to fill the bike up with pre-mix the other day on accident. Made the symptoms of this issue a hundred times worse. Almost certain that Wheelman's suggestion of the leaking oil pump is the problem.

My question now is, can the pump be rebuilt/cleaned/serviced, or ...

The excessive smoke and poor performance suggest you may have a leaky oil pump. They ALL seem to leak, eventually, but perhaps to varying degrees. Are the symptoms proportionate to the duration of time since last startup? A leaky fuel valve AND float valve could contribute too ...

Bike is an 01 Elite S 50cc. Just recently bought it, has 1800 miles on it. Has punched out OEM exhaust and removed the clutch limiter. I run ethanol-free fuel and Honda oil. Plug is brand new and reads a nice toasted brown.
