Re: Spark

Nope. Just got a new stator assembly. I checked it and the circuit is open. I have 12v constant, switched 12v, but no power coming out of it to power the headlight/dash lights. I would believe that's related to spark too ?????

No start after problems

I'm having a no-start issue with my 86 Spree. First, a piston pin retaiting clip came out and destroyed the cylinder and piston. At the same time (or just about 30 seconds prior), it lost it's headlight and taillight. I've replaced the piston and cylinder. The bike now has compression. It cranks ...

Stoplight trigger

My local Honda dealer has these. They sell for $19.95. Even me at 200 lbs and a 100 lb spree don't trigger the stoplights. I bet I look funny riding it through the crosswalks!!!

Well, today I found what the problem. I had spark, fuel and air getting in, so passed the "fire triangle." I went to do a compression test, but couldn't get any air out of the sparkplug hole. Upon removing the cylinder head, I found the connecting rod pin that holds the top of the piston on, was ...

'86 Spree died and won't restart

I was thinking along the lines of a bad rectifier. I have voltage at the hot pin going in, but have no voltage on the yellow and white wires coming out. The ground side works, so this is what I'm guessing. But again, I'm new to mopeds!!

'86 Spree died and won't restart

I am the owner on an '86 Spree that I just picked up about two weeks ago. It has about 4000 miles on it, of which we've put on about 75 of those. It runs good overall, just needs the carb cleaned and a new sparkplug.

The other day, my girlfriend had ridden it about 5 miles and shut it off. About 20 ...
