just bought a new petcock and installed it and still get gas back in vac tube. plus the rascal still won't idle...ready to get new carg. Smitty;

just got one from honda parts in Northern Ind. 1 800 828 5498 but unless you're ordering other things the shipping kills you,,filter was only about $3 but I ordered other parts...the filter is about 1/2 inch thick foam like any small engine filter and lays flat across the box. Prob could make one ...

Just got a new one from honda parts in northern Indiana--phone 1-800-828-5498. It cost about $35. of course you got to pay a shipping fee but if you are ordering other parts its fairly reasonable. I.m trying to use their website Servicehonda.com but haven't learned how to get spree parts to come up ...

That info really helped me to better understand all the intricut workings of the carb. and your picture showed me exactly part of my problem...now its back to removing again and cleaning that small hole in bowl...thanks a bunch guys...Smitty

You had some great pictures of the carb--I curious about the "little brass opening in the bowl"...can you show a picture of that and I take it from reply of others it is an opening into the larger opening...mine may be plugged also but I wasn't sure it was actually suppose to be a hole thru it ...

At first it was gas out of carb..cleaned etc and it would run but not idle so di d some more cleaning and tried to start with electric start but no fire and then noticed gas going out of the exhaust pipe...as this spree has lots of miles^6000^ don't want to spend a lot of time and money unless you ...

Got 86 spree off junk pile--guy said it ran but leaked gas at carb. has no air filter, cleaned carb and gas tank, so it doesnt leak now and starts ok with electric start but will not idle..ajusted air and idle screws but that doesn't help..I've read lots of the different ideas for other problems but ...
