Air Filter

Ok..got my air filter from bikebandit. It's a EMGO air filter, and it slipped right on the scooter. However the scooter was still getting a bit too much air, so I had to make a restrictor plate, and with a bit of tweaking to the carburetor, the scooter now runs great.

Here is a picture of it on my ...

I just got it today and it fit like a glove, my carburetor anyway. I have a stock keihin on my 94 Elite 50S... about 28mm measured at the back-end. I just changed the clamp that came on it to a slightly smaller size, adjusted my carburetor a bit (the carburetor was still ...

Air Filter

Ok, Now that I have my Elite running good, what aftermarket air filter do you all recommend?

It's a 1994 Elite 50S with a stock carburetor, about 28mm at the back end of the carb. It should have the ability to suck in a lot of air because my carb seems to really like a lot of fresh air.

Any ...

With the stock air filter on it ran pretty poor, versus having no filter on it at all. So I took off the stock air filter and left only a nylon screen on it for now, and am looking for a aftermarket air filter.

Any suggestions as to what aftermarket air filter to use?

Here is link to a picture of the rear of my carb. Is the opening in the carb butterfly (if that is the proper term) supposed to be closed more than this? The picture was taken before start-up.

With the air filter off the problem is lessened very slightly, but not to the point of anything close to running correctly either way.

Throttle question

Hey folks, I was wondering if you folks might be able to help me with my sccoters main problem.

My 1994 Honda Elite 50S has a VERY sensitive throttle lever. My throttle lever moves about 1 to1 and 1/8 inches in total movement, maybe a bit more, and when I give the lever a slight turn it wants to ...

Turns out to be I was told the wrong bulb by the Honda dealership. They said it took the #2057, it's suppose to be the #1157.

The wiring is good all the way to the contacts... a test-lite proved that. We'll find out for sure when I get the proper #1157 bulb.

Thanks fellows I'll let you all know ...

Brake light bulb

Alright, who can tell me which is the correct tail light/ brakelitght bulb to put into my 1994 Honda Elite 50S...( I would presume it is the same as is in the Sprees!? ) It came to me with a 1157 that didn't work. I presumed it was bad, so I called the Honda dealership to find out which ...

Elite carburetor settings

Can anyone tell me what the original caruretor settings are for a 1994 Elite 50S? I believe 1994-2001..2? are all the same?

I don't yet have a service manual... ( If I did I would loan it to the administrator for copying to help the other Elite owners )... so I don't have that information.
