Good point!
I've got a new clutch on order, so maybe it'll fix the shudder...
The bottom end is still pretty bogged down though, so I'll try moving the pin on the needle... as upsmale suggested to me on another topic.

That did the trick...
Let the carb sit in cleaner for a few days, and eventually got the idle tube clean. As you mentioned, you could hardly see light through it. Now it appears as though the engine is finallly running like it's supposed to.

I removed the air mixture screw & spring since it seems to intersect with the tube I mentioned above. I then ran about 70psi thru the bottom of that tube and couldn't feel any air escaping.... I think it's plugged. Even if you aren't supposed to see thru the tube, I'd suspect that I should ...
