My $125 dollar find.

Picked this up a few weeks ago for $125 Had to clean the carb, change out all fluids, and some red fuison paint (was painted color shifting paint)

1995 elite sa50s

runs like a top!

I know how many their is, I got it now, Their is also orings, small washers, and springs on the needle. I did not realize they were stuck in the opening when I put it in the parts washer. I just ordered a new kit. runs great now.

There is 2 needles on the carb, not in cluding the drain screw. I believe both of them have springs.

idle and air screw What am I missing?

I just got done cleaning my carb on my 1995 sa50s and when I took out the air and idle needle/ adjusted screws I must not of noticed the springs and or washers behind them. If they were in there I must of blasted them with air not knowing they were in there.

All I have is the 2 needle adjusted ...

pulled apart carb, Main jet clogged solid. Cleaning now.

It has power, resistance at the by starter was 4 pulled it out, needle looked good, moved easy. Started it with the hole covered and let it run and the plunger/needle expanded out By starter seems to be ok. Put it back together after it cooled down and restarted it, Idle a little high and slowly ...

update Before taking the carb apart I tried to test the auto bystarter. I get no power to the connection from the harness to bystarter running or not. Should I get power there? I guess I will give it a shot. Is there a certain circuit that normally clogs worse? I will mess with it later today.

Ok I have a new filter in it, air box back together, Scooter run's at a tap of the key, and will idle smooth and quiet. Still still not take ANY throttle. As soon as you touch it it will die.
