Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I think it is an Elite S. The model is an sa50p I think. The guy that I bought it from had put over 1500 miles on it and said that it never had a cable to the oil pump. It is getting oil. The plug looks fine, and the exhaust produces plenty of smoke.

My 2000 elite doesn't have a cable hooked up to the oil pump. It is definately getting oil. How does the oil pump operate on this model?

I bought a 2000 Elite with 4400 miles. It has a new piston and rings. It will not even get to 25 mph. I have tried unrestricting the exhaust, this only makes it louder. I have read about the the stock variator. I am going to try removing the plate. Just curious, how fast should this machine be stock ...
