Removable idle jet? HA! Hey I tried hot, I tried cold. I tried the plier method. It did not come out! I took my other carb and really went *. Yep I got it out -useless. Long time experience says that sometimes particularly old carbs, sometimes the fitted pieces fall out and sometimes thay ain't ...

The idle jet is fixed. The main is removable. The mixture screw is obviously removable. But not the idle jet at least on the '86 deluxe.

I did get it unclogged though. I got out a very small long sewing needle, my dremel and a vernier caliper. I ground the thing down to .0135" for about 1/2" from ...

Clogged Idle Jet

Hello,

I have my spree problem down to one thing. A clogged idle jet. I cannot squirt card cleaner throug it and cannot blow through it when I attach a small tube to the bowl draw pipe.

The smallest hing I have is 30 gauge wire and that bent when trying to poke through. I have soaked the dog for a ...

Okay I am back.

It is definitely the carb. Went out and bought a different one. Cleaned it and put it in.

New problem.

Starts and runs, bogs off the line and I have to have the idle screw all the way in to keep it idling. Once it moves off the line the mid and high range RPMs are good and it ...

The puppy runs so rich, the slide is wet when I pull it out.

No cracks. I have tried moving the needle down to help, but to no avail. For al I know the main could have been drilled out, but I would have thought that the needle in the down position would have at least helped it of of idle a little ...

I have completely disabled the bystarter (fuel enrichment circuit) as part of the troubleshooting.

The machine is in a warm environment. It also starts great because the thing is running super rich! Why do I think it is running rich?

STATE - Air cleaner cover off and filter out.
1) It can idle.
2 ...

Definitely will move - barely - if you just plain old fashioned remove the air box cover and filter. But is still rich as heck. I can push down the needle and it is still the same. The main is stamped 65. It visually looks much small than other mukuni mains I have laying around. The idel screw is in ...

Hey go to this site and it gives a description of the machine - http://www.sonicjay.com/spree/. The NQ50D is described as a special edition. But I can tell you the front fender has "Deluxe" decals on either side.

Back to the problem at hand ............

Hey If you solve my problem I will take a ...

The 1986 spree was available in red or black. This unit is white with teal decals and a grey seat. The part is a NQ50D(I assume the D stands for deluxe also) AND it has "Deluxe" stickers on it. Now what made it deluxe is beyond me because it appears to be normal for the color offering. The story I ...

Won't Run With Air Cleaner Buttoned UP

Hello. I will give a quick run down on stuff done.

1985 Spree DeLuxe 265miles (I beleive it too)
1) Soaked and cleaned carb and can see light through all holes. Air and carb fluid runs through just fine. No leaks from gaskets. Air adjust at 1.5 turn out. Throttle has to be at 1 turn out. Disabled ...
