I am missing a lot. But I am buying if anyone has parts. I need fuel tank, oil tank, rear brake, throttle, carb and exhaust pipe... I'm gonna rig up my own starter motor switch once I get the electrical diagram down. Also looking for rims

i have the engine and frame

the only electrical stuff i have is the starter motor, alternator/generator, spark plug cap coil ... what all do i need just to get a spark?

I took a look at the electrical diagrams... it looks like i'm gonna need a cdi

anyone thought of taking a spree engine/rear wheel and bolting it onto a bmx frame?? right where the pedals would be the bolt would go through and then the shock would go up to the seat

getting a spark

what is the minimum i need to get a spark?

86 spree

got the ignition coil that has the spark plug cap and an engine with an alternator... i think all i need to get a spark from there is a cdi unit right?

got the starter motor running and the engine running

bogs out around 22 or so because of the "ghetto" air cleaner i'm using. I placed a bid on a stock one from ebay and thanks for the email address for parts, i will contact him too.

should the engine turn easily by hand if the plug is in?? if it does that would mean no compression right?

my starter doesn't work either.. im going to go hit it with a hammer now -- starts on starter fluid and dies, carb has been cleaned a few times im about to do it again now, just got the oil ...

carb questions need help

on the carb, at the bottom of the float bowl there is a brass tube and on the picture a hose connects to it... where does this go and is it ok to not have one. Also, in the picture there is another tube that is coming from underneath the float bowl and i have no idea where that goes... i'm leaking ...

starter motor doesn't work

starter motor won't turn over

-just got it from a guy on ebay (said it worked properly)
-battery charged fully i think -brake light and turn signals work, but do dim when i try to turn the starter motor
-starter motor made a sound but didn't turn, pulled it out and checked and re-checked ground ...

got it running! had to start it with the drill though -- anyone know any cheap fixes for a kickstart? I have a kickstart ,but the drive gear isn't made for one and they are pretty expensive from honda . I searched ebay and didn't see it. There has to be a certain type of nut to make the kickstart ...

does the drive belt go inbetween the drive pulley gear and the gear behind it facing the opposite direction, or is it supposed to go into the teeth of the pulley that is behind the drive gear? i can't tell from the pictures

Ok, I got a battery and filled it with electrolytes.
The ignition is gone, so I spliced the red and black wire.
When I try to honk the horn or turn on lights nothing happens, but when I first connected the battery the horn did honk faintly and a brake light came on, but never ...
