Re: Come on and take a Spree Ride.

You wheelman are the one that converted it to 36. I notice that he still has no GPS readings or any creditable witness.

No...I converted it. Actually I said 37. I was with him. Let me repeat that. I WAS THERE. I don't know what you need for a credible witness but this is about as good as you're ...

Re: Come on and take a Spree Ride.

I just got back from a GPS test run. My speedometer is indeed off. I didn't go out and find a really long road to get full acceleration, but it was flat. I wasn't out to find my max speed, but to check my speedometer. My fastest speed according to my speedometer was 58 kph which the GPS said was 55 ...

Re: Come on and take a Spree Ride.

No BS. It is possible that his speedometer is off but I was riding with him on my Pal. Yes the wind was at our backs but it was flat ground. My speedometer read about 62 kph which is close to 39 mph.

It's possible both of our speedometers are off but I've checked mine with one of those roadside ...

Honda Pal...Key Copy Probelm...Help?

Hey guys! I have a Honda Pal which most of you know is the import version of the Elite. I have tried several places to have a copy of my key made....but no one has a match. I assume it has to do with American keys vs European?? Anyway, I took out my ignition and took it in to the locksmith that 3 ...

Anybody live near Vancouver? Sweet deal!

I just found this amazing deal. Honda Pals are very rare and hard to find parts for. I've been told that the plastic alone sells for over $400. This bike looks to be in amazing condition..and for 600 bucks? Too bad I live in Missouri.

Welcome to the Honda Pal Club. I hear there's not too many of us. If you don't mind, can you post a picture of it? I am still learning about these rare beauties.

Replacing Rings...Help

Well I've been dying to go riding with my friend who owns an '87 spree. He went to replace the piston and broke the rings. So he ordered a new set from Honda. They finally came in today. He went to put them on and broke them....AGAIN! Any advice would be great help as I'm sure he doesn't want to ...

Wow. This thread is AWESOME! First we have bear flying off the handle and just ripping into timcat because of a misunderstanding (bear's fault). So bear is the bad guy. Then, bear apologizes (props on that) and redeems himself. Instead of accepting the apology, timcat decides to be a d*ck about it ...

My engine number is AF05E-76405XX

Since mine is lower, does that mean it's older? I don't really know what to make of the numbers

What are the advantages of switching out the tires? Just curious to know if it would be worth spending the $.

My first Pal. This one is gray. It has no on/off switch for the headlight and the serial number suggests it is newer that the other one. The best I have been able to find they were made about 1989.

We should compare serial numbers. I can't check mine right now, but if you could give me your ...

I am going to ride with my brother this afternoon and do some speed comparisons between his '84 spree and my Pal. I'll test acceleration (my variator should make the difference) and top end speed. I'll post the results hopefully sometime tonight.

Also, I have noticed one difference already. After ...

Thanks for all the advice Keithw, I'm glad to find someone who owns a pal and is knowledgeable. I am in Southwest Missouri. There was snow the day before, but it didn't stick.

I am not mechanically savvy, but If I have someone help me, I'll show them your advice. You said 27 mph was stock for the ...

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know the pal was so rare. So are there any suggestions on how to speed this thing up? I've read that sometimes drilling the exhaust can help. Would this do anything for my pal? Any more info on this thing would be awesome. Thanks guys

The motor is unlike any American motor. It is mostly the same as a spree, but it has a variator.
Look under the scooter, in the middle of the floor board. There should be a sticker on the frame that has the year and vin number.

Yeah...it's all in Japanese. Any other way to tell?

Also, I am a ...
