I've been looking for a floor mat for one for a while, I think I might just forget paying too much and try to cut a pre existing rubber mat maybe...

I was thinking of riding my Spree around at some time during the cruise. I'm pretty sure on Fort Street you can't take a scooter, but I've seen people do it often, and maybe I'll get sympathy just this once since it's not a hot rod? Anyways, it might be amusing, if anyone sees a black 87 Spree, honk ...

Same here. But hopefully it's no longer than 2 weeks. When it's a few days, at least you can try to get other stuff done on your scooter. Weeks, then you're just dying to ride it.

Maybe checking to make sure the tube from the airbox is not detached or loosely attached to the carburetor. That's the only small thing I have to add.

That's an interesting color. I wish I could see it in a brighter light. Is it metallic at all?

Are those the only parts you are painting?

You might still want to try cleaning the carburetor. I couldn't get mine to idle well at all no matter how much adjusting I did, until I cleaned the carb as thoroughly as I could. Sometimes people say they cleaned it, and they may not have done a very good job. But definitely fiddle with the screw.

If you know anyone with a cheap or junk Spree, try to get the kickstart, and fit one to yours. They can be a lot of help at the right time.
